The Division Street Princess
That is the title of my sister's just published book. I received it yesterday, started reading it this morning and have almost finished it. The memories are so vividly written that it was hard for me to keep tears from eyes. Some of things she wrote, I didn't remember or simply shut them out. But the stories of the family are so real. I imagine that anyone reading it will be able to associate their own family especially if they came from the old country and grew up on their own Division St. regardless of city.
I'm so proud of my sister, to see her in print and have the family picture on the cover, I feel like I'm a brother to someone famous, but she's always been famous to me. She keeps telling me that she's three years younger than I, but I still think it's two. It's a fun argument we have whenever we get together. She keeps prodding me to finish my own story which I hope to do in the near future. I have to improve my writing skills before I do it in earnest.
